Janus Cam Drive Recording System offers the Janus Drive Camera V2. The Janus V2 is a drive camera safety device that can be used in any vehicles for recording incidents, via both video and audio, from inside and outside the vehicle. Motion-sensor technology is used in the cameras to record and save footage of accidents and other traffic incidents. The V2 features infrared laser light emitting diode for night driving and audio. An emergency button is included allowing users to record instantly as circumstances dictate.

The system is programmed to save recorded data when prompted by any unusual or sudden movement of the vehicle. During an incident, the system will automatically document and record the period from  eight seconds before to four seconds after the incident occurs. Motion sensor technology senses movement such as swerving of the vehicle, abrupt stops which can indicate failing to stop or yield properly, or collision or impact . For maximum security, the system records all activity 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with newer recordings overwriting older ones until an incident occurs. For ease in tracking and reviewing incidents, the time, date, speed and location of the incident is recorded and placed on a Google Map.

All data is stored on a SD memory card. The SD memory card data can be transferred and backed up to a computer. This allows for users to create individual photo shots of a particular incident, which can be e-mailed.

By providing accurate records of vehicle incidents, the system improves safety and accountability. Moreover, the default recording basis of our security cameras can help and protect companies from false accusations.  The cameras can be used for internal security and training purposes, as well as reducing the cost of claims and insurance premiums.
